“MONA”
Shukri Adan is a Somali American actress based in Denver, who is excited to make her film debut as Mona in In Time. She previously trained at the Denver Performing Arts Center and is currently pursuing a theatre degree from the University of Denver.

Ramiyah DeGray
“NADIA”
A Colorado native, residing in the town of Parker, Ramiyah DeGray recently turned 11 years old and is now starting 6th grade.
About her In Time role as Nadia, Ramiyah commented: “We are similar in many ways. We are both hardworking, going above and beyond and wanting to please our parents, and we don’t like to get into trouble. If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought this role was written specifically for me.”
Ramiyah aspires to be a hardworking actress as well as an equal rights activist. When she’s not acting, she likes to play soccer, basketball, and her ukulele. She also loves reading books, especially books by the author Rick Riordan. Ramiyah has three older siblings, including her twin sisters and her brother. One of her favorite things to do is traveling to see family and friends and she hopes to someday travel the world with her family, including the dream destinations of Paris, Greece and Tokyo. -
Nate Alexander
“MAURICE”
Nate Alexander is an American actor and model with over 25 commercial, film, and print credits, most recently portraying Maurice in the independent film In Time and appearing in the 2022 Jeep 4xE national spot.
Trained in multiple acting disciplines, Nate has an extensive, if somewhat unorthodox, educational background. Graduating with a BA in Marketing and commissioning in the Army as a Space Operations Officer, Nate sharpened his acting skills through nine years of acting intensives, workshops, and studying under actress Tasha Smith and coach Benjy Dobrin.
Following in the footsteps of alumni like Aaron Paul, Brianna Hildebrand, and Ashton Kutcher, Nate would attend IMTA in 2016 and win Actor of the Year along with other honors. Since then, he’s continued to find commercial, print, and independent success. He portrayed Ronnie Lott for the NFL 100 Anniversary Special, Dee in the independent film Shot Clock, and recently added host to his resume as contributor for the digital cheerleading platform, Cheermatch.
When he’s not acting, you can often find Nate either buried in anime, out with his camera, or putting in work at the gym, his fortress of solitude. -
Jaiel Mitchell
“JENELLE”
Jaiel is an artist, advocate, author, speaker and self-proclaimed practitioner of Black Girlhood based in Denver, Colorado. Getting her start singing and dancing in church, Jaiel grew up always wanting to be a performer. Anchored in her faith and her belief that art and media can transform the world, her pop/soul sound gets audiences grooving and moving, while also challenging them to believe in what’s possible.
After graduating with honors and becoming the first Black woman to graduate from Colorado College with a degree in Music, she released her debut EP Black Girl Songs in May of 2018. Since then, she’s performed all over the state frontlining bands, as half of the duo PB and J, and solo. She recently signed to Wilhelmina Denver and can be seen featured in the spring Crocs “Come as You Are” campaign.
She is founder and CEO of Little Light Entertainment, an entertainment company whose mission is to tell stories that heal, awaken, and celebrate women and girls who are evolving! Her follow up EP, The Magical World of Black Girlhood, was released in April of 2022 and was featured in the Denver Westword and on Ms. Mayhem Magazine. The lead single "Sunshine Lovin'" has over 1K views on YouTube and over 2K streams worldwide. In June 2022, she made her live solo debut for a sold out crowd at Lost Lake Lounge.

Naomi Wantwadi
WRITER/DIRECTOR/PRODUCER
Naomi Wantwadi grew up in the Democratic Republic of Congo and moved to the U.S. when she was 15 years old. For as long as she could remember, when asked what she wanted to do when she grew up, she’d say “A Writer”. Naomi loved using a camera anytime she could for film or photography- as a kid and through college. Inspired by stories of self-taught Black filmmakers who started with a dream, Naomi decided to pursue hers in 2015. She dedicated herself to learning the craft of screenwriting. In 2018, Naomi moved to Denver, CO, where she joined Women in Film & Media-Colorado, and worked as a crew member on student films, local productions, and commercials. Naomi marks her directorial debut with “In Time”, a short film she wrote. Naomi’s dream is to elevate stories of immigrants, BIPOC, other cultures and their interactions with dominant cultures.

Jordan Spalding

Jordan Spalding is a cinematographer, editor, motion graphics and visual effects designer, and storyteller. His works spans documentary and narrative, and his cinematography credits include the narrative shorts Red Dust, Dimidium, and Pit.

Amy Palace
EDITOR
With over eight years experience in the production industry, Amy specializes in character-driven storytelling. She currently edits a wide variety of short-form branded content ranging from product features to nonprofit fundraising campaigns, docu-style videos, web miniseries, and social media content. Amy has worked as an assistant editor on two feature documentaries currently in post production, as well as numerous unscripted TV shows and pilots for HGTV, the Cooking Channel, and the former DIY Network, including Emmy-nominated Fixer Upper and HGTV's Good Bones. She is passionate about telling stories that foster thoughtful, empathetic, and truth-centered dialogue. A voracious reader, avid gardener, skier and hiker, when Amy isn't editing she is usually outside enjoying the Colorado sunshine.

Tara Feiman
UNIT PRODUCTION MANAGER/1ST ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Tara currently works at Informa Markets as a video producer, as well as her freelance work in features, documentary, and episodic work. Tara is a freelance producer, casting director, production coordinator, photographer, designer, technical advisor, and all around production junkie from Denver. Her most notable work was part of the Hoopah! Boston Boy's Dish Network commercials and Facebook campaign. Tara has also worked with Reel Kids, Biemedia, Booyah! Media, Ghost Blade Productions, and several others to create works in film, theater, and web series. Tara holds her MFA in Producing at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater, Film, and Television; Specializing in Direction, Production, Management, and Development from The University of Colorado. Tara interned at ICM (International Creative Management) where she discovered her passion for working with and casting actors. She has also studied at the University of London Goldsmiths; focusing in philosophy, acting, and screenwriting to hone her craft.

Miguel Ontiveros is a cinematographer, photographer, and recording artist under the name Migue Moore. With a bachelors in photography and cinematography, Miguel is a constant creative who stays busy with finding unique ways to tell stories whether it is visually or musically.

Trai Cartwright
PRODUCER
Trai Cartwright is a 25-year industry veteran and a creative writing and business development specialist. She teaches, produces and writes screenplays and novels. While in Los Angeles, she was a screenwriter, independent film producer and story consultant, and development executive for HBO, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, and New Line Cinema. Her roles have included assistant director for Leonardo DiCaprio‘s online endeavors and the manager for 20th Century Fox‘s Mobile Studios. Trai currently teaches creative writing, screenwriting, and producing, and her film credits include the docu-webseries Hidden Tigers (producer) and the short film Sundown Road.

Michael B. Henderson

Michael Henderson, owner of Plan 9 Sound, is a sound designer for film & television for over ten years. Since his first feature film was released in 2011, he’s been a member of the sound department in over ten movies, dozens of short films, commercials, and TV series, and he also serves on the Board of Directors at The Bug Theatre and The Emerging Filmmakers Project, showcasing the art of filmmakers throughout the Colorado community.

Jacob Smith

Jacob Smith is an award-winning filmmaker, a former mayor, and a former U.S. Senate staffer. His films include the fiction short Chasing Rabbits and the feature documentary Waking the Sleeping Giant: The Making of a Political Revolution. Waking the Sleeping Giant is currently in national and international distribution.
